Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning? We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with pupils, helping them manage their behaviour and achieve their potential.

The Role

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:

• Work 1:1 and with small groups to provide tailored behaviour support.
• Assist in managing challenging behaviours in the classroom and around the school.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to promote engagement and positive attitudes to learning.
• Support teaching staff in delivering lessons by maintaining a calm and productive classroom environment.
• Implement behaviour management strategies in line with the school’s policies.
• Act as a mentor to pupils, encouraging their social, emotional, and academic development.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Has experience working with young people with challenging behaviours, ideally in a school setting.
• Is resilient, patient, and confident in managing challenging situations.
• Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is proactive, adaptable, and committed to helping students succeed.
• Has a genuine passion for supporting young people to overcome challenges.
